Roger Schwabacher AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Senior Principal, Design
"Designs have specific technical challenges that need to be resolved with creativity and thoughtful pragmatism. While I strive to be more than a builder, infusing every project with poetry and vision, our clients’ success rests on our ability to gracefully solve a building’s complex technical issues.”

Roger is a senior design principal in HOK’s Washington, D.C., studio.

His experience includes architectural, urban and sustainable design for a wide range of building types including government, corporate, higher education, commercial office, healthcare, science + technology, hospitality, civic + cultural, retail and residential. Roger’s work has earned numerous awards and has been published in Architectural Record, The Washington Post, Inform: Architecture & Design, ENR, Middle East Architect, ArchDaily, The Architect’s Newspaper, Cityscape, GB+D and Faith & Form.

Roger is a member of HOK’s global design board, the University of Maryland School of Architecture Board of Visitors, the American Institute of Architects and the U.S. Green Building Council.
