Brian Cook AIA, LEED AP

Regional Practice Leader
“Leadership is about clarity and consistency—setting a clear direction, assembling the right team and then delivering exactly what we promised. I focus on creating structure and trust so that complex projects run smoothly and clients always know where things stand.”

As principal and regional practice leader for HOK’s Salt Lake City studio, Brian oversees daily operations and leads business development efforts across the Mountain West region. With more than 30 years of experience, he brings deep expertise in designing and managing large-scale, technically complex building programs, with an emphasis on team building, client service and precision in execution.

Brian has led major aviation projects throughout the western U.S., including the $5.2 billion redevelopment of Salt Lake City International Airport and facilities at Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario International Airport and Van Nuys Airport. His comprehensive knowledge spans all project phases—from early planning and consultant coordination through construction documentation and closeout. As principal-in-charge on select projects, he helps guide strategy, design and delivery across diverse project types, serving as a trusted advisor to both public and private clients.

He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, a LEED Accredited Professional and a registered architect in Utah and Colorado.
