Kirsten Fordyce-Wheeler IIDA

Senior Project Interior Designer

Kirsten is a globally recognized aviation interiors leader with more than 35 years of experience designing award-winning passenger environments. Her work spans airport projects of all sizes across North America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Australia. She combines deep technical expertise with a hospitality-focused approach to create terminal interiors that balance operational efficiency, comfort and a strong sense of place.

Kirsten led the interior design of Hamad International Airport’s passenger terminal in Doha, Qatar, which Skytrax named the world’s best airport in 2021, 2022 and 2024. Her collaborative project approach helped the airport set a new global benchmark for luxury, functionality and the passenger experience. She now leads complex airport interiors projects, shaping next-generation terminals that transform how passengers move, connect and experience flight.
