Christopher Laul

As HOK’s chief strategy officer, Chris works across the firm’s leadership, regions, markets and disciplines to help align strategy, investment, decision-making and accountability with HOK’s long-term priorities. His focus is on strengthening how the firm translates its ambitions into action, supports growth and sharpens its competitive position.
Chris is also responsible for the strategic direction of the firm’s marketing, business development and communication activities in the Northeastern U.S. He is a member of HOK’s global board of directors and business strategy committee and co-chairs the firm-wide marketing board.
Chris has played a key role in expanding HOK’s presence in the greater New York City region and into new markets including Philadelphia and Boston. Project commissions under his tenure have included the design of new headquarters spaces for Canon North America, White & Case, Apollo Global Investments, Accenture and LG Electronics.
Chris brings a perspective shaped by a long career in marketing, sales and business development in the AEC industry. He devotes time to numerous professional organizations, including the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, New York Building Congress, Municipal Art Society of New York and CoreNet Global. He is also an established fine artist with gallery representation in New York and Santa Fe and has representation in both private and corporate collections.
