HOK Establishes New Studio in Boston

Tom Grimble will lead studio to expand HOK’s Northeast presence.

HOK is extending its reach in the Northeast with the addition of a new Boston studio located in the city’s Leather District. Led by long-time Bostonian Tom Grimble, the office will support clients throughout the region, including AstraZeneca, Sanofi, Longfellow and more.

“We have deep roots and relationships across New England and see tremendous opportunities for further growth,” said Carl Galioto, FAIA, HOK’s president and managing principal of the Northeast practice. “We are excited about the prospects this studio will provide for our people, clients and firm. I know we will accomplish wonderful things under Tom’s leadership.”

Grimble, AIA, LEED AP, will serve as the senior regional practice leader for the Boston studio. He brings a unique background to the position, holding a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Business Administration. He has lived and worked in the Boston area for over 30 years, and his expertise includes firm management and operations. An expert in lab design, Grimble’s extensive portfolio also includes healthcare, lifestyle and residential projects.

Grimble and a growing team will support existing and future projects in a variety of HOK markets, including Corporate, Science + Technology, Higher Education, Healthcare, Aviation + Transportation and Sports + Recreation + Entertainment.
