Matt Rossetti FAIA, LEED AP

Matt is a senior principal at HOK with a global portfolio in sports, entertainment and mixed-use design. Based in Detroit, he built ROSSETTI into an international brand during his tenure as the firm’s president, CEO and chief architect.
Matt’s path to architecture took a few detours. He originally studied oceanography at the University of Michigan before switching to architecture, then spent a year studying sculpture in Florence. After earning his Master of Architecture at Michigan, he worked for four years in New York before an NHL arena project—and a lifelong love of hockey—drew him back to Detroit and into the family firm his father, Gino Rossetti, founded in 1969.
From there, Matt developed a sports and entertainment practice with global reach. His portfolio at ROSSETTI includes the Daytona International Speedway transformation—a project that reimagined the 110,000-seat venue on a $400 million budget—as well as the Ford Field Reimagination for the NFL’s Detroit Lions, the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Reimagination, the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix venue at the Hard Rock Stadium campus, the Titletown mixed-use district adjacent to Lambeau Field and the Henry Ford Health Detroit Pistons Performance Center. At ROSSETTI, he also led a diverse range of local work in Detroit, from mixed-use and hospitality projects to urban planning.
