Thomas Bayer AIA, NCARB, LEED AP
Based out of HOK’s Houston studio, Thomas leads the technical direction and development of projects throughout Texas and the U.S. Gulf Coast to Mississippi. This includes initiating, developing and monitoring methods of technical production, technical content, quality assurance and construction phase services.
A senior architect with more than two decades of professional experience, Thomas is an expert in building science and project delivery. As vice chair of HOK’s firm-wide technical board, he has helped develop project delivery standards and protocols, technology initiatives, new project delivery models and rigorous quality assurance methods.
Thomas has mentored many HOK professionals preparing for licensure and professional practice. He is a board member of the Houston ACE Mentor program and an adjunct professor at Texas Tech University, where he teaches courses on exterior enclosure design and advanced construction technology.
