"Building information modeling enables us to make more informed decisions earlier in the design process. BIM makes project construction costs and outcomes more predictable and makes facility management, maintenance and operations more efficient."

A registered architect, he guides the firm’s design technology initiatives—including building information modeling (BIM) and virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies. His leadership implementing design software and processes helps ensure the highest level of quality in the firm’s creative and delivery processes.

James is considered a pioneer in the field and has lectured at many industry events including AIA National Convention, Autodesk University, CMAA BIM Conference, ENR FutureTech and BILT.
