Bill is HOK’s chairman and CEO and the design principal for the Washington, D.C. office. He is known for his creative design approach, innovative problem-solving and exceptional client service.

Bill joined HOK’s St. Louis studio in 1991 and two years later was appointed to lead the firm’s office in Washington, D.C. After more than a decade as design principal in D.C., he was elected firm-wide president in 2005, CEO in 2016 and chairman in 2017.

Bill is a Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council, a member of the Delos Advisory Board and a GSA Design Excellence Peer. The University of Virginia’s School of Architecture honored him with its Distinguished Alumni Award.
