Susan Chang, Julia Cooper and Eberhard Laepple have been promoted to directors of HOK’s Consulting practice.
The firm-wide Consulting group works with clients to optimize real estate portfolios, streamline facilities, develop workplace strategies and deliver change management services. Together, Chang, Cooper and Laepple will oversee the vision, strategy and business plan for the practice.
Based in HOK’s Toronto studio, Susan Chang, ARIDO, LEAN, LEED AP, BCIN, CMP (PROSCI) joined HOK in 2019. She has more than 25 years of experience providing strategic workplace solutions for a variety of North American and international clients including companies, healthcare systems and municipalities. An expert in helping organizations plan and program their spaces, she recently authored an article detailing how hospitals can optimize their workspaces to better serve staff and patients.
Julia Cooper, (PROSCI) joined HOK in 2015 and is based in the San Francisco studio. She is a workplace strategist with more than 15 years of strategic planning experience and 20 years of design experience. Cooper has developed workplace typologies and design solutions for healthcare, government, corporate, science and technology, and aviation clients across the U.S. and internationally. She regularly collaborates with teams across HOK’s markets and recently coauthored an article with HOK’s Healthcare Consulting group on change management for organizations in a post-COVID world.
Based in HOK’s Houston office, Eberhard Laepple, PhD, MCR.w, LEED AP, joined the firm in 2005 with a focus on helping clients optimize their real estate portfolios. His 20 years of experience includes architectural design, master planning, facilities management, workplace strategy, strategic planning and technology development. He recently authored an article on how companies can improve their operational efficiencies while transitioning to hybrid workplace schedules.
