Kevin Nowak, AIA, LEED AP, has joined HOK’s growing Sports + Recreation + Entertainment practice as a regional leader in Philadelphia.
“Kevin brings deep experience, strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach to design that will be invaluable in serving our sports clients in the Northeast and beyond,” said Nate Appleman, AIA, LEED AP, director of HOK’s global Sports + Recreation + Entertainment group. “As our practice continues to grow, Kevin will be instrumental in collaborating across regions, building relationships and leveraging our expertise to bring the best projects to our clients and their communities.”
Nowak has dedicated his 15-year career to sports architecture and has worked on projects for Villanova University, Duke University, Bucknell University and Drexel University. He also brings experience in professional sports facility and ballpark design. At HOK, Nowak will be responsible for client development and project management, focusing on the collegiate and recreation facility market.

Nowak is a native New Englander, originally from Boston, and will be based in HOK’s Philadelphia studio. He is a graduate of The Catholic University of America with a Master’s in Architecture.
