John Rhodes is a director of HOK’s Sports + Recreation + Entertainment practice and is based in London. With more than 15 years of experience developing high-profile facilities for a range of professional sports and entertainment activities, John’s work helps to spur urban regeneration and economic development in local communities.
John is advancing the next generation of sports and entertainment venues, which become destinations in their own right. He has extensive experience in the design of sport and entertainment facilities including arenas and stadia, Formula One circuits, conference and exhibition centers, horse racing tracks and high-performance training facilities.
“Consumers are demanding a higher quality and more authentic experience of the event. With the multimedia revolution, we’re seeing significantly higher experiential competition in the marketplace. This means that the experience of going to an event needs to exceed the convenience factor of watching online at home.”
