OhioHealth, a not-for-profit healthcare organization, wanted to enhance its culture and mission by consolidating 1,600 associates from more than a dozen sites into one building.
HOK’s workplace strategists helped the hospital system understand how to plan a building with a work environment that would enhance the experiences of its people, promote innovation and collaboration, and support its organizational culture—all while positioning it for future growth. The facility also needed to reflect OhioHealth’s mission of promoting health and wellness in the communities it serves.
HOK’s team helped OhioHealth’s leaders explore different office and workstation assignments that would accommodate the required building headcount while providing the right balance of private, collaborative and mobile work environments. The team developed guiding principles that ensured each design decision promoted OhioHealth’s workplace goals.
To help OhioHealth finalize the design plans, HOK completed a building test fit that accommodated all the program requirements in the available space.
