Ryan Byrnes Joins HOK in Denver as Director of Design, Interiors

Byrnes brings more than two decades of experience in interior design, adaptive reuse and space strategy.

HOK has hired Ryan Byrnes, IIDA, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP, as the director of design, Interiors. He will work with Brad Liebman, director of Interiors for HOK’s St. Louis practice, to manage interiors projects for HOK’s St. Louis and Denver studios.

“Ryan excels at guiding clients through complex projects to create inspired interior design solutions,” said Liebman. “We’re thrilled he is joining HOK to expand our thriving Interiors practice”

His approach prioritizes creating flexible and functional solutions that enhance the user experience while supporting business goals and sustainability. His experience includes interiors projects in the aviation, life sciences, space and aerospace, workplace and government markets.

“My approach focuses on leading diverse project teams to design innovative interiors for clients,” said Byrnes. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with HOK’s St. Louis and Denver studios to develop interior designs that enhance the experience for all in the built environment.”

Byrnes’ award-winning work includes the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute Station in Panama, winner of a Federal Energy and Water Management Award, and the Olympic Tower Residence in New York, winner of a RADA Architectural Interior Merit Award.
