Burgos, who helped establish HOK’s Miami studio, brings more than a decade of experience in workplace and interior design to the role.

HOK has announced the promotion of Steven Burgos, NCIDQ, IIDA, Assoc. AIA, to director of design, Interiors. Based in the Miami office, he will work with Adriana Rojas, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED GA, director of Interiors at HOK, to manage HOK’s Interiors practice in Florida and create healthy, uplifting spaces for clients.

Burgos has extensive experience designing interiors and workplace projects in multiple markets, including professional and financial services, technology, consumer goods, media and hospitality. Currently, he is working with clients such as Visa, the University of Miami and CitiGroup Technology.

“In addition to his workplace design knowledge, Steven is an exceptional leader with a passion for creating inspiring interior designs,” said Rojas. “He will play an integral role in expanding our robust interiors practice in Florida.”

Burgos is dedicated to the design community and has previously served as president and vice president of sponsorship for the International Interior Design Association’s (IIDA) South Florida Chapter. He has also authored articles on workplace design and retooling aging suburban office buildings.

“I’m excited to take on this new role and continue collaborating with the Interiors practice at HOK,” said Burgos. “Now more than ever, organizations need to think strategically about their interior environments, and I look forward to helping our clients design enriching spaces that elevate the human experience.”
