Emily Payne Is HOK’s New Director of Experience Design

Payne advances from a regional leadership role to overseeing global team of experiential and graphic designers.

Emily Payne has been promoted to a new role as the director of HOK’s Experience Design practice. She was previously the regional leader of Experience Design in Kansas City.

Payne has dedicated her nearly 20-year career to developing branded, immersive experiences where people live, work and play. She will work with Creative Director Jeff Lancaster to head a team of designers and visual storytellers.

“Emily brings a breadth of knowledge and understanding of leading experiential graphics, wayfinding and brand design projects,” said Lancaster. “Her creative, communication and management skills will be extremely beneficial to our Experience Design teams and clients.”

“I’m excited and proud to take on this new leadership role and further my work with Experience Design,” said Payne. “I look forward to continuing to craft engaging experiences with this amazing team.”

Payne’s project experience includes Norfolk Southern’s Headquarters in Atlanta, WPP’s Campus at 3 World Trade Center in New York, WPP’s Office in Chicago, Cargill Protein’s Headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, Kiewit’s Regional Headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas, and the Hard Rock Stadium Modernization in Miami.
