HOK is proud to share the latest issue of HOK Forward, our annual deep dive into the challenges and solutions shaping interior design and the built environment. The 2025 edition of Forward draws insights from HOK Director of Thought Leadership, Interiors, Kay Sargent‘s new book Designing Neuroinclusive Workplaces and builds on HOK’s eight years of research on the topic.
HOK Forward offers a compelling case for designing spaces that not only accommodate but celebrate neurological differences—making environments more inclusive for all.
“Designing for neuroinclusion isn’t about creating special spaces for some people,” says Sargent. “It’s about recognizing the full spectrum of human needs and building environments that support everyone’s ability to thrive.”
In the following video, Sargent and Tom Polucci, HOK’s firm-wide director of Interiors, preview this year’s Forward.
