The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans and grants to the governments of low- and middle-income countries for capital projects. Its headquarters is in Washington, D.C., and it has offices in 130 locations worldwide.
HOK’s space management team provides on-demand drawing and data standardization for the World Bank.
In completing drawing standardization for the World Bank’s global portfolio, we converted PDF and JPEG files to AutoCAD files. This process included assigning layers to the World Bank standards, removing excess information, creating text boxes for room names and numbers, and renaming files.
HOK’s team also defined usable and non-usable core spaces, determined the areas for each and reset the insertion points for all drawings to 0,0. We updated the room numbering, going into each AutoCAD DWG file and relabeling room numbers based on a consistent global system.
