HOK created a master plan for the extension of the PIK 2 (Pantai Indah Kapuk) live-work-play district along North Jakarta’s Java Sea coastline.
The plan strives to seamlessly integrate the newest phase of this high-profile development into its natural environment. Strategically placed open spaces link office and residential neighborhoods.
Marked by iconic towers, the plan for the PIK 2 extension includes luxury waterfront apartment buildings and homes; world-class offices; R&D facilities; an academic campus; a wetland park conservation, education and tourism facility; and a greenbelt.
The plan links existing waterfront development to new sites further inland. Rejuvenating several rivers on the site helps restore damaged mangrove forests along the coastline and creates a sustainable stormwater management system that reduces runoff and protects floodplains.
