This prominent law firm relocated from downtown Los Angeles to a new HOK-designed office in Century City to boost productivity, enhance collaboration and improve accessibility for both clients and staff.

The design concept, California Coastal Couture, blends the natural fluidity of the Pacific coastline with the precision of bespoke tailoring. Curved architectural elements evoke rolling waves, guiding movement and creating a sense of natural flow within the office. Structured detailing and refined materials balance the organic elements found in the space, reflecting the sophistication expected in legal environments.

The interiors include a calming palette of oceanic blues and soft neutrals, paired with warm woods, sculptural forms, water-inspired accents and sleek, contemporary furnishings. These elements create a serene yet dynamic workspace that stimulates creativity and productivity.

Tailored to the needs of legal professionals, the workplace features multiple tech-enabled conference rooms, a boardroom and small breakout spaces. A 96-seat multipurpose room hosts firmwide training and events, while an adjacent catering kitchen supports seamless hospitality.

At the heart of the office is The Hub—a central café and lounge that redefines connection across the firm. Formerly an internal, closed-off space, it’s now light-filled and strategically positioned between client-facing and practice zones. Designed to flow naturally with the rest of the office, it invites spontaneous gathering, collaboration and community.
