This operations complex for Clemson football sets a new standard for the student-athlete experience. The design supports the program’s focus on football, family and fun with a comfortable, amenity-rich environment. It also reflects the, “Best is the standard,” phrase seen throughout the Tigers’ facilities.
The building adjoins the indoor practice facility and outdoor practice fields, consolidating Clemson’s football operations into a single complex. To maximize valuable training time, a central player concourse allows coaches and athletes to move efficiently through the building.
A plethora of amenities enable student-athletes to train, study and unwind without leaving the building. The complex includes 1.5 acres of outdoor leisure space and state-of-the-art training facilities. Additional amenities include miniature golf, bowling, a movie theater, gaming lounge, steam room, recovery room, a Gatorade fuel bar, a Nike gear room and basketball, volleyball and bocce ball courts. A slide connecting the concourse to the first floor reinforces head coach Dabo Swinney’s emphasis on fun.
Compelling graphics and interactive displays celebrate the football program’s storied history and brand while communicating its vision for the future.
HOK worked on this project with GMC as architect of record and DPR as contractor.
