Atlanta Architect Ralph Raymond Named to Two Prestigious “40 Under 40” Lists

Ralph Raymond, AIA, NOMA, project architect in HOK’s Atlanta studio, has been recognized by both Atlanta Business Chronicle and Building Design+Construction magazine in their 2024 “40 Under 40” recognition lists.

Raymond’s experience spans multiple sectors, including contributions to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport modernization, Grady Health System’s Correll Pavilion and the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. As part of the Correll Pavilion team, he played a key role in the 580,000-sq.-ft. healthcare facility, which expanded Atlanta’s critical healthcare infrastructure.

The 35-year-old Haitian-born architect served as president of both AIA Georgia and NOMA Atlanta. He also holds leadership roles in the ACE Mentor Program and the State Registered Architect and Interior Design Board. Recently appointed to HOK’s global Technical Board, his portfolio encompasses 14 million square feet of completed projects across multiple states and countries.

“I‘ve had the pleasure of working with Ralph since he started as an intern 13 years ago,” said Betsy Graham, director of Interiors in HOK’s Atlanta studio. “In that time, he has not only developed a portfolio that has made a tremendous impact on our client’s work, but also built a reputation as an industry leader among colleagues and the community.”

Through NOMA Atlanta’s Project Pipeline and ACE scholarship programs, Raymond has focused on expanding opportunities for underrepresented youth in architecture. His efforts have helped hundreds of students explore architectural careers through mentorship and scholarship opportunities.

Within HOK, Raymond has influenced the firm’s professional development programs, leading a curriculum revamp in the Atlanta office that strengthens both technical and design capabilities.

“Architecture should actively and positively impact society,” says Raymond.
