HOK’s Mile-High Ascent: Denver Office Grows

The Denver studio expansion highlights HOK’s commitment to Colorado and the Mountain Region.

HOK’s Denver studio continues to grow with new talent and project wins supporting the studio’s expansion in the LoDo Towers. Candace Todd, who helped establish the studio in 2022, has been promoted to senior regional practice leader. She will work alongside Ryan Byrnes, director of design, Interiors, who joined HOK in April 2023, and Bill Johnson, design principal for the Denver studio.

Todd, a highly collaborative leader with over a decade of experience, creates award-winning spaces across multiple markets. Her portfolio includes projects for clients including LG North America, Aetna and Morgan Stanley.

Since opening the Denver studio, Todd has led HOK’s team in securing new projects for the office. She is active in the Denver community and serves on the economic development council for the Downtown Denver Partnership.

“Since launching the Denver studio, we’ve assembled an incredibly talented team that creates forward-thinking designs,” said Todd. “I’m thrilled to continue this important work and collaborate with my team members in my new role.”

Reflecting the office’s growing project demands, the studio is relocating to a space more than double its current size, within the same building in downtown Denver’s LoDo District. The office supports HOK disciplines and markets including HealthcareScience + TechnologySports + Recreation + EntertainmentAviation + TransportationHigher Education and WorkPlace.

“Our strong presence in Colorado and commitment to our clients have helped us reach this milestone,” said Johnson. “Candace and Ryan will undoubtedly continue to elevate HOK, collaborating with project teams to deliver designs that positively impact the region and the community’s well-being.”
