The senior interior designer in HOK’s San Francisco studio was honored for outstanding leadership in the interior design profession.

The Northern California chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) has honored Donald Cremers, INTCA, LEED GA, with a 2022 IIDA Northern California Leadership Award. The IIDA selected Cremers based on his exemplary leadership and ongoing work to advance the interior design profession.

Cremers is a senior principal and senior project interior designer in HOK’s San Francisco office. Since joining HOK in 2007, he has worked on numerous projects in the workplace, public and institutional, education, hospitality, healthcare and retail markets. He is a former president of the IIDA’s Northern California Chapter and a frequent speaker on interior design topics.

Working closely with architectural teams, Cremers creates healthy interior spaces that respond to the context of the site and structure. Additionally, he is an award-winning designer of interior materials for healthcare and other high-performance applications.

The chapter recognized Cremers as its annual Leaders Breakfast, which celebrates the importance of design in the global marketplace and the people who represent both its legacy and its future.
