3. Looking Ahead: Designing for Neurodiversity & Workplace Inclusivity
Sept. 30 at 11 AM EST

We are living in a time of increased awareness about individuals with neurosensitivities and special needs, such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and dyslexia. In fact, one in 8 people are considered neurodiverse but fewer than 50 percent know it. Neurodivergents often can be high energy, out-of-the-box thinkers; can excel in a crisis; and can be bold problem solvers. Not only is designing more inclusive workplaces the right thing to do, but there is a compelling business case. As we become a majority of minorities, space needs to reflect the diverse makeup of organizations and position all for success.

Presenters:
Betsy Nurse, director of interiors
Teyanna Miles, senior project interior designer
