HOK Named a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Top Workplace

HOK St. Louis Office

HOK has been named one of St. Louis’ Top Workplaces by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

This marks the second consecutive year the office has ranked highly in the mid-size company category.

The honorees are selected annually based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of the workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by our own people for the culture our firm offers staff,” said Margaret McDonald, senior principal and marketing principal for the St. Louis studio. “Our practice is thriving, with successful projects for high-profile clients across the globe being designed and planned right here in St. Louis. This growth and quality of work is only possible because of the people behind the projects, creating successful design solutions and building lasting client relationships in the process.”

HOK’s St. Louis practice has nearly 200 people working on a range of projects across the country. It was established in 1955 as the firm’s founding office. McDonald is part of a leadership team that includes principals Eli Hoisington and Angelo Arzano.

“As the firm grows, we’re focused on giving our staff opportunities for growth and advancement and benefits that allow them to develop professionally,” said Stacy Krell, senior human resources manager for our St. Louis practice. “This honor is a testament to an empowered, talented staff that believes in using design to shape our cities and communities.”
