HOK STREAM - a Fast Company "Most Innovative" Selection

Developed by HOK's engineering group, HOK STREAM is a parametric modeling and optimization tool that dramatically accelerates the design process for complex architecture projects like the terminal canopies at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (left). Fast Company magazine cited HOK STREAM in naming HOK to its list of "Most Innovative" architecture firms of 2019.

The tool combines several modeling and structural analysis programs and processes to generate a single, streamlined solution for optimizing a structure based on expertise specific to that project type. HOK STREAM proved instrumental in designing the 450-foot-long pedestrian bridges under construction at LaGuardia Airport's New Terminal B (above).
