Experience Design – Storytelling and Branding at Shiseido Americas

HOK’s Experience Design team worked hand-in-hand with the Interiors team to create custom artwork that honors the heritage of Shiseido, supports its vision for the future, and complements a minimal and sophisticated design.

Wall graphics in Shiseido’s trademark red, like this quote from former Shiseido president Shinzo Fukuhara, help bring people together around the mission of “One Shiseido.”

The Experience Design team used handmade brushstrokes to create wall coverings that reference the Japanese ink-painting of sumi-e and the artistry of makeup. Throughout the floors, scaled-up artwork and brand advertisements create an impactful, yet peaceful, experience.
