HOK has been designing buildings and spaces that improve people’s lives for 65 years.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic reinforced the link between the built environment and health—especially for people in disenfranchised and minority neighborhoods. This was a stark reminder of our responsibility to advocate for and create places that respond to the needs of all people.
Though we’re pleased with our progress in making a difference through our work, the year’s unprecedented events proved we need to do much more. We appreciate the opportunity to share this update on our recent achievements in designing a sustainable future, fostering diversity, equity and inclusion, and giving back to our communities.
We look forward to elevating our efforts as designers to be even bolder agents of change.
