Confidential Biotechnology Company Office

HOK designed new office space for a leading biotechnology company that needed more space for its growing Cambridge staff. The goal was to entice employees back after the COVID-19 quarantine without compromising their health or safety.

Using design guidelines that we previously developed for this company, HOK’s design balances open and closed areas to foster collaboration and focus. The space includes new amenities like a barista cafe, indoor garden, arcade lounge and a wellness center with yoga and workout rooms. These perks help attract and retain talented people.

The office and amenity spaces were built in two quick phases. Despite the timeline, HOK’s team delivered a solution tailored to the company’s unique needs and culture. The result is a vibrant, healthy workspace reflecting the innovation, drive and excellence of its employees.
