Peter David Cavaluzzi FAIA

Peter Cavaluzzi is a visionary architect and urban designer specializing in large-scale urban redevelopment, mixed-use districts and transit-oriented development. As a principal and director of Planning + Urban Design based in HOK’s New York studio, Peter brings deep experience designing transformative urban environments that seamlessly integrate buildings, infrastructure and public spaces to create “the next great place” in cities, campuses and urban districts around the world.
With a career that includes national award-winning civic mixed-use projects and destinations, Peter has played a pivotal role in redefining cities with design expertise in urban regeneration. He is an expert in the design of downtown districts, waterfront developments, transit integration, sports-anchored mixed-use neighborhoods and adaptive reuse that revitalizes communities while fostering economic growth and resilience.
A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and member of ULI Americas’ Transit-Oriented Development Council, Peter is an active thought leader, frequently publishing and speaking on the intersection of transit, mixed-use development and the design of iconic places.
