Julie Villa AIA, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB

Regional Leader of Planning
“Great planning doesn’t just organize space. It creates the foundation for communities to connect, thrive and adapt to whatever the future brings.”

Julie believes well-planned places create healthier, more resilient communities. As a principal and regional leader of planning, she leads HOK’s planning, urban design and landscape architecture studio in St. Louis. She guides multidisciplinary teams and local stakeholders to turn long-term visions into actionable, buildable plans.

Her award-winning portfolio spans higher-education campuses, civic districts, lifestyle developments, transportation hubs, and corporate and commercial projects. Each project is designed to strengthen the public realm and elevate the everyday experience.

A committed voice in the design community, Julie chairs the 2025 Board of the Missouri Gateway Green Building Council and judged the 2024 Construction Keystone Awards for the Associated General Contractors of Missouri. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Society for College & University Planning, and the Association for Learning Environments’ St. Louis chapter.
