Chris Leary AIA, LEED AP

Chris is the practice leader for HOK’s Science + Technology group in Boston. A principal and registered architect, he leads high-performing, multidisciplinary teams delivering complex projects that support scientific discovery.
His experience spans projects for established real estate developers and large corporations as well as fast-growing commercial- and venture-backed companies, including work in Kendall Square and the Innovation District around MIT. His focus on process, innovative project delivery models and building performance provides clients with highly sustainable and collaborative work and research environments.
Chris is a board member, secretary and executive committee member for the Kendall Square Association in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects, Boston Society of Architects and Urban Land Institute.
Chris is a recognized expert on innovation district ecosystems, integrated project delivery and retrofitting historic buildings for science and tech. He frequently speaks on these topics—and more—for events hosted by organizations such as the World Economic Forum, U.S. Green Building Council, I2SL, R&D Magazine and Tradeline.
