Terminal B earns the airport top honors in Forbes Travel Guide’s Verified Travel Awards for the second consecutive year.
The Forbes Travel Guide recently announced its second annual Verified Travel Awards, honoring airlines and airports that deliver a world-class traveler experience. LaGuardia once again topped the Best U.S. Airport category for its “spacious gate areas, state-of-the-art architecture and food from New York culinary institutions.”
When Terminal B opened in 2022 at LaGuardia, it transformed the traveler experience at one of the nation’s most prominent airports. Celebrating air travel, the design features grand, light-filled spaces with 60-foot-high ceilings and expansive windows for both arriving and departing passengers. Retail and dining options in the terminal showcase New York favorites, while indoor green spaces with lush landscaping and sculptural benches echo the city’s iconic pocket parks.

This recognition from Forbes affirms the power of that shared vision.”
LaGuardia Airport and Terminal B have received many accolades, including Skytrax’s 2023 World’s Best New Airport Award and UNESCO’s 2021 Prix Versailles Award. It has also been recognized by the Airports Council International, Urban Land Institute New York, the Chicago Athenaeum, several chapters of the American Institute of Architects and the Design-Build Institute of America. HOK has been named to Fast Company’s 2022 list of Most Innovative Companies and TIME Magazine’s 2022 list of Most Influential Companies for the design of Terminal B.
