David Frey Joins HOK as Technical Principal in Los Angeles

As technical principal, David Frey, AIA, LEED BD+C, leads the technical direction and development of all projects designed in the Los Angeles studio.

Over the past three decades, Frey has provided technical leadership and innovative project delivery methods on many different types of projects, including the International Terminal at San Francisco International Airport, St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco, Northwest Science Building at Harvard University, Centennial Towers in San Francisco and the Parkmerced Vision Plan.

“David is committed to technical excellence and collaboration and is a highly respected leader in our profession,” said Anne Fletcher, AIA, LEED AP, managing principal for HOK in Los Angeles. “His technical expertise and experience working on significant projects at the highest level brings great value to our team and clients.”

In addition to his work as a technical leader, Frey has served as a guest critic and guest lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Kentucky and is a registered architect in California.
