HOK’s Erin Nybo and Bethany Foss join the Healthcare Design Expo + Conference in San Antonio for a session on promoting healing through design at The Children’s Place in Kansas City.
Child abuse is a public health crisis and early intervention is imperative. The Children’s Place, a specialized trauma treatment agency in Kansas City, plays a vital role in advocating for the well-being of vulnerable children. The agency’s new home, an adaptive reuse designed by HOK, creates a comforting space with playful colors, warm language and recognizable iconography for the children.
