COVID-19 will do more than change how people work. As employees return to the workplace, designers will need to rethink how they engage with the space and interact with each other. New social dynamics will come with potential for unease, increased anxiety and conflict. Even more challenges will stem from the ubiquitous flow of information and the rapid development of autonomous technologies.
HOK’s Daniel Herriott and Diana Stanisic will join Steelcase Inc.’s Gale Moutrey in presenting ideas on how designers will be able to create environments that address the additional physical and social challenges generated by this parallel rise of the human factor and machine age.
