HOK’s Hunvey Chen will moderate a panel discussion on “Infection Control and Hospital Design” presented by the AIA | LA Healthcare Committee and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC).
Construction projects can introduce unique risks to the healthcare environment. A multidisciplinary approach to infection prevention and control, especially in hospital renovations with ongoing patient care, requires seasoned architects who collaborate with infection preventionists and contractors to prevent and mitigate risk factors. This panel will help designers ensure patient safety in the design and construction of hospital projects.
