Aman Krishan and Jeff Goodale will present HOK’s “Designing for Equity” initiative to integrate standardized design practices that promote equitable outcomes. The vision is to design spaces that meet all human needs in an equitable and sustainable manner; that foster communities with equal access to shelter, health and nature; and that enrich and inspire all people.
Aman and Jeff will describe how standardized practices can encompass design principles, design approach and design culture. They will provide research supporting their hypothesis and present justice project case studies that can inform best practices.
The 75-minute virtual discussion begins at 12:15 PM ET. It is part of the Transform & Reform AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice (AAJ) Fall Conference 2021.
