Patrick MacLeamy, chairman emeritus at HOK, will give the keynote address at the Design Tech Symposium, presented by AIA SF and the Design Center of Architecture + Design.
Patrick practiced architecture for 50 years at HOK, transforming delivery of design work from 2D CAD to BIM using advanced collaboration tools. During his career, Patrick developed the Effort Curve, which gradually became known as the MacLeamy Curve, showing how overall project success is improved by expending more effort early in the design process. Patrick was promoted to CEO and chairman of HOK in 2003, positions he held until stepping down in 2017.
