Ryan Gedney

Ryan Gedney is a senior principal and senior project designer with HOK’s global Sports + Recreation + Entertainment practice. He has extensive experience leading the design of integrated sports facilities that are anchors for vibrant mixed-use districts, including recent projects in Edmonton, Detroit and Atlanta.

Based in Kansas City, Ryan brings a deep understanding of the business of sports and the fan experience. His revenue-generating design solutions improve the game-day experience for fans while responding to the goals of clients and their communities. His projects have won 20+ awards from organizations including the Urban Land Institute, American Institute of Architects and American Society of Landscape Architects.

Ryan, who is passionate about using evolving technologies to improve the design process and mentors other staff in using building information modeling to optimize all phases of a project’s design, construction and occupancy.

In 2016, Ryan was named to Building Design + Construction’s 40 under 40 class.
