Lynn Carlton

Lynn Carlton, LEED AP, is the regional leader of planning for HOK’s Kansas City and Columbus practices.

With more than 15 years of experience, Lynn has led a variety of planning, design and urban landscape projects. She has special expertise lies in comprehensive planning for downtown corridors, mixed-use developments, urban districts, waterfront locations, urban campuses and regional sustainability initiatives. Lynn works closely with all stakeholders to build consensus, resolve barriers to a project’s implementation and inspire collaborative efforts toward a shared vision.

As Urban Land Institute (ULI) Kansas City district council chair, Lynn leads the organization on a voluntary basis for a two-year term that began June 30, 2014. Since joining the ULI 12 years ago, she has held numerous leadership positions on the national level as a ULI trustee and member of the Trustee Nominations Committee. She is a co-founder and co-chair for the NEXT Leadership Initiative, which champions the ULI’s mission by providing a compelling avenue of engagement for members between the ages of 35 and 45. In 2016, Lynn will begin serving on the ULI Global Awards of Excellence and Open Space Awards Jury.
