Julia Monk FIIDA, FAIA, LEED AP

Julia is a director of HOK’s Hospitality practice and is based in Hong Kong.
As a licensed architect and interior designer, Julia’s projects for more than 40 hotel brands have been as varied as the parts of the world in which they are located. She has collaborated with entrepreneurial chefs to create atmospheric, shoestring-budget diners and with gaming magnates to design 4,000-room casino hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.
Julia is a recognized speaker and panelist at premier hospitality events. She lectures on hotel design and development for Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design Executive Education programs. She is co-founder and co-chair of the New York chapter of the AIA Architecture of Hospitality Committee. Boutique Design named Julia to its list of industry Power Players.
Julia is a member of both the IIDA’s and AIA’s College of Fellows.
