Stephen Beacham, AIA, IIDA has moved from HOK’s Philadelphia office to become principal and director of design for interiors in Washington, D.C.
Beacham, who has more than three decades of experience, will lead the D.C. office’s client relationships and focus on design excellence. Kai Olsen remains principal and director of design for interiors in Philadelphia.

Beacham joined HOK in 2015 as a principal and director of design for interiors in Philadelphia. For the next three years, he led teams on a wide range of successful corporate interior, commercial office renovation, healthcare and aviation projects. As an architect and interior designer, Beacham excels in guiding design efforts on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects to ensure that clients realize the most value from their projects. His design solutions respond to each client’s unique goals and needs.
Originally from New York and a graduate of Pratt Institute, Beacham is a registered architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects and the International Interior Design Association. His recent projects include LaGuardia Airport’s new Terminal B in New York (above); Group M’s offices in New York and Penn State’s Chemical Engineering Biomedical Engineering Building in State College, Pennsylvania.
