The two new hotels combine to create a 523-room Marriott short- and long-term stay combination in Chicago’s River North district, an area known for its fine restaurants, upscale shopping and art galleries. The highly visible corner site commands 360 degree views of downtown Chicago.
As an emerging type of hospitality facility, this select service hotel includes amenities and a high level of design intended to attract business and leisure guests to a key downtown location.
HOK designed each hotel to have its own distinct massing and design character, including separate second-floor lobbies, while sharing back-of-house common service functions. The ground floor houses an upscale restaurant and café. The project includes a 10,000-square-foot private penthouse residence.
