The scheme reintroduces neo-traditional campus planning principles by proposing several axial relationships among important icons, destinations and points of interest around the campus.
At its core, the master plan proposes using infill projects to create a series of connected, well-proportioned campus quadrangles. Embracing the vision of the original plan, HOK’s landscape architects, lighting designers and graphic designers developed site-specific plans for these quadrangles while assessing and creating new guidelines for the rest of the campus.
HOK is developing integrated schemes for the landscaping, irrigation, campus lighting and wayfinding, and will oversee the implementation of these systems.
