Mark Ejnes Joins HOK as a Design Principal in Los Angeles
Mark Ejnes, AIA, has joined HOK’s Los Angeles studio as a design principal.
Over his nearly three-decade career, Ejnes has worked worldwide on many different types of projects, including high-rises, sports venues, cultural institutions and transit stations. He comes to HOK from Aedas in Los Angeles, where he was managing director. Before that he worked with Gehry Partners and Maria C. Romañach Architects. He studied at the University of Michigan and the University of Pennsylvania and is a registered architect in California and New York.
“Our clients and colleagues will value Mark’s unique creative vision and commitment to design excellence,” said Anne Fletcher, AIA, LEED AP, managing principal for HOK in Los Angeles. “He has led a wide range of architectural and design projects and also designed several products. We’re thrilled to have Mark at HOK.”
“Joining HOK gives me the opportunity to focus on designing and delivering great buildings with a team of exceptionally talented people, the deep resources of a global firm, and cutting-edge tools and infrastructure,” added Ejnes. “The openness to new ideas in our Los Angeles studio is very exciting. It offers unlimited possibilities that I look forward to exploring.”
Ejnes is partnering with Ernest Cirangle, FAIA, LEED AP, to head the firm’s Los Angeles design studio. He joins Cirangle and Fletcher on the office’s leadership team.
Current and recent projects in HOK’s Los Angeles studio include the Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building in Baldwin Hills, California; Michelson Center for Convergent Bioscience at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles; Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) in Anaheim, California; LinkedIn’s Building 7 office interiors in Carpinteria, California; and the Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California.
