Condé Nast Readers Rank Indianapolis Airport Best in the U.S.
Readers voted the Indianapolis International Airport the nation’s best in Condé Nast Traveler’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
More than 128,000 readers participated in the publication’s 28th annual survey.
“This is very rewarding because it is a survey of our travelers choosing us as ‘Best Airport,’” said Mike Wells, Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) board president. “That is something we take to heart because it means that we are fulfilling one of our main goals at IND - providing one of a kind, world-class customer service and putting our travelers first.”
HOK designed the Col. H. Weir Cook Terminal at Indianapolis International Airport. Travelers often cite the airport’s strengths as short waiting times at check-in and security, ease of flow through the terminal, terminal design and great customer service, according to a release by the IAA.
Airports Council International (ACI) honored Indianapolis International Airport earlier this year, naming it the best airport in North America and inducting the facility into the ACI Director General’s Roll of Excellence.
