Hengfeng Wang Joins HOK’s Structural Engineering Team in New York

Hengfeng Wang, Engineering ExpertHengfeng Wang, Ph.D., has joined HOK’s structural engineering group in New York as an engineering expert.

Wang brings more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of engineering design and analysis on a wide variety of high-profile projects in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He has expertise with multiple building types, including airports, transportation centers, stadiums, tall buildings, laboratories and bridges.

“Hengfeng is an expert in the design and analysis of large, complex steel and concrete structures, from conceptual design through construction, including blast analysis and design,” said Carl Galioto, FAIA, HOK’s managing principal in New York. “He enjoys the challenge of solving complex structural problems to deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions for clients.”

“I am excited to join HOK and to contribute to high-profile projects like LaGuardia Airport’s New Terminal B project in New York and the Landside Modernization at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport,” said Wang.

Wang spent the last seven years with AECOM, where he served as a senior principal analyst. Prior to joining AECOM, he was a senior engineer with Weidlinger Associates, Inc,. and with the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research. He served as a faculty member in the Applied Science Department at the University of Liège in Belgium.
