Brian Jencek Joins HOK’s Planning and Landscape Architecture Practice in San Francisco
His new role involves contributing to numerous planning and landscape projects within the studio, including Salt Lake City International Airport, Kilroy Mission Bay Development and Ghirardelli Square Master Plan.
Prior to joining HOK, he served as management and design principal of Hargreaves Associates in New York and San Francisco. His project experience encompasses the 2012 London Olympics, Stanford University Science and Engineering Campus, ExxonMobil office campus in Houston and large-scale city plans in Panama, Brazil, China and India.
Jencek earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and architecture from Cornell University, and he’s a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Urban Land Institute, San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association, and Clinton Climate Initiative. He also teaches graduate-level design studios on climate change and resiliency topics at UC Berkeley.
